Global 4G LTE subscriptions expected to grow by 334% this year

IHS iSupply predict that global 4G LTE subscriptions will reach 73.3 million by the end of 2012 - 334% increase from 16.9 million in 2011.

The figure should increase again by 181% in 2013 with total 205.7 million subscriptions.

By 2016, 4G LTE subscribers is expected to number nearly 1.2 billion.

Prognoses: Global LTE Subscriptions to reach 802M by 2017

Pyramid Research expects that LTE subscriptions globally to reach 54 million by year-end 2012, representing less than 1% of total subscriptions.

By 2017, Pyramid expects the number of LTE subscriptions to reach 802.2 million, a 72% CAGR over 2012 levels, growing to almost 10 percent of global mobile subscriptions.
