Apple is trying to appeal a fine of 906.3 million rubles (~ $ 12 million), which the FAS issued after considering a complaint from Kaspersky Lab.
The FAS is confident that Apple is abusing its dominant position in the market. The American company forced Kaspersky Lab to cut some functions of the Kaspersky Safe Kids application, ostensibly to make it less competitive compared to Apple's own product - Screen Time.
In addition, the FAS demands that Apple remove from its regulations a provision that gives it the right to ban applications from the App Store for any reason.
Apple, as expected, disagrees with the fine.
I am not to expect positive decision for Apple, the company was supposed to comply with the FAS orders by November 30, 2020, but did not so. So if victory is possible, then perhaps for some formal legal reason. Most likely, an attempt to challenge the fine will be unsuccessful; in the best case for Apple, the amount of the fine will be somewhat reduced.
